Keith Urbahn

Keith Urbahn is president and founding partner of Javelin. In his 14 years leading the company, he has helped negotiate hundreds of book, film television deals totaling more than $110 million, overseen the publication more than 60 New York Times bestsellers, and assembled one of the most effective and results-driven public relations teams in America. For five years Keith worked for former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, most recently serving as his chief of staff. He helped oversee the publication of Rumsfeld’s No. 1 New York Times-bestselling memoir. Previously he worked in the United States Senate and as a Pentagon speechwriter. A summa cum laude graduate of Yale University, he spent 10 years as a commissioned reserve intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy. He is credited in many media outlets as the first person to break the news of the death of Osama bin Laden to the world over Twitter. Urbahn lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Kerri and two children, Benjamin and William.

Matt Latimer

Matt is a New York Times bestselling author with decades of experience in public affairs and publishing.  A native of Flint, Michigan, Matt attended the University of Michigan Law School and has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.  Prior to founding Javelin, he worked at senior levels in the White House, Department of Defense, and United States Congress.  As a writer and literary agent, he has collaborated on dozens of bestselling books and worked with numerous public figures, journalists, historians, and celebrities.  He is a recipient of the Department of Defense’s Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the highest award offered at the Pentagon to a civilian.

Robin Sproul

Robin Sproul has been a Vice President of ABC News for the past 25 years. For 21 of those years she served as Washington bureau chief, a role in which she supervised Washington coverage on the network’s TV, radio, and digital platforms, and served as the news division’s liaison to the federal government.  Most recently, she focused on the network’s political debates and interviews, polling, external relations in Washington, and was the Executive in Charge of This Week with George Stephanopoulos. 

A well-known and respected journalist in Washington, Robin is also an active member of the Gridiron Club, often producing musical skits for the annual white tie dinner.  She has served as chairman of the National Press Foundation Board, is a member of the Harvard Kennedy School Joan Shorenstein Center Advisory Board, and was a member of the Newseum Advisory Board and the Radio-Television News Directors Foundation board.  She currently is a member of the Department of Justice’s Media Dialogue Group.  She was a Fellow at Harvard’s Joan Shorenstein Center in 2007, and a Punch Sulzberger News Media Fellow at Columbia University in 2011.

In her tenure at ABC News, Sproul led teams winning Emmy, Peabody, and DuPont Columbia awards.  She has personally been recognized with numerous awards for leadership and support of the first amendment.

Dylan Colligan

Dylan manages author-publisher relationships, seeks out and evaluates potential Javelin authors, and provides writing and editing support to manuscripts in development. Several of his Javelin projects have appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list. In the past, Dylan has written for Members of Congress, candidates, industry advocates and thought leaders throughout several years of strategic communications experience. As Director of Writing at a Washington consulting firm, he crafted op-eds, remarks, press releases and other written products for a variety of political and public affairs clients. Prior to that, he wrote speeches and other materials while working in communications for the House of Representatives leadership on Capitol Hill. A native to the DC area, Dylan started his career as a Congressional intern, following undergraduate internships in Washington and London. He holds a degree in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was an award-winning journalist for the Hampden-Sydney Tiger and was elected to Omicron Delta Kappa. Dylan also studied at the University of St. Andrews and St. Anne’s College, Oxford and is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.

Matt Carlini

Matt Carlini joined the Javelin team in 2018 as a literary agent/foreign rights director after working at Little, Brown & Company and Vigliano Associates in New York. He has worked with a variety of bestselling and acclaimed authors including James Patterson, Elin Hilderbrand, two Pulitzer Prize finalists, a National Book Award winner, and a Man Booker Prize finalist. He has also orchestrated successful international sales campaigns for writers and celebrities including Mike Tyson, Pearl Jam, Andrew Morton, and Gary Zukav. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Matt is a graduate of Georgetown University. His literary interests include narrative nonfiction about politics and current events, journalism, cultural criticism, pop culture, and sports.

Frank Schembari

Since joining the team in 2017, Frank has worked with U.S. Senators, think tanks, non-profits, and private-sector companies on messaging, media booking, and New York Times-bestselling book rollouts. He has secured client appearances on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, HBO, NBC, CBS, ABC, and C-SPAN. He previously worked for a leading bipartisan public strategy firm where he assisted foreign governments, non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies with public affairs campaigns, government relations strategies, and political messaging. Frank earned his B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Russian language from the American University School of International Service. He is a native of Staten Island, New York.

Elizabeth Aucamp

Elizabeth came to Javelin in 2019 after working on the public relations team at USA TODAY and spending time in sales at a translation services company. She has worked with a wide range of clients — from members of Congress, government officials, journalists, and think tank scholars, to presidential libraries, private corporations, nonprofits, and advocacy groups — orchestrating media strategies, message development, interview bookings, and event coordination. She has also managed multiple comprehensive book rollouts from start to finish, cementing authors on the New York Times bestseller list. During her time at Javelin, she has secured numerous client appearances among national broadcast media outlets, including but not limited to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, CNBC, and NPR, along with print features in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Associated Press, Axios, Reuters, Financial Times, Politico, New York Post, Town & Country, Daily Mail, and People Magazine, to name a few. Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish with a minor in Economics from Bucknell University. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, she is an avid Tar Heel basketball fan, DC foodie, amateur chef, volleyball player, and reality TV aficionado.

Megan Stencel

Megan joined the Javelin team in June, 2019. Since then she has worked with think tanks, entrepreneurs, TV and podcast personalities, national non-profits, and private-sector companies on media bookings, strategic messaging and New York Times-bestselling book rollouts. Megan has secured client appearances on national networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, PBS, NPR, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News Channel, CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business Network. She has also secured feature placements in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Fast Company, among others. Prior to Javelin, Megan worked at the United States Department of State, where she reported directly to the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs and worked on issues related to trade, economic development, cyber security, and business advocacy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A Madison, Wisconsin native, Megan is an avid fan of cheese, Culver’s frozen custard, and the Green Bay Packers. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, taking spin classes, and spending time in the city.

Bridget Lewis

Since joining Javelin in 2021, Bridget has secured client appearances across national networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg & Fox News, worked on New York Times-bestselling book rollouts, and placed features in top publications such as Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and Forbes to name a few. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a master’s degree in Strategic Communication. During her undergrad, Bridget worked as a Junior Account Executive for Marco de Comunicacion in Madrid, Spain. During grad school, she was the assistant to the Chair of the Strategic and Personal Communication Department and worked as a freelancer in PR and digital marketing. She is also an online adjunct instructor for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Grand Canyon University.

Khang Dang

Khang joined the Javelin team in June, 2019. His duties as Staff Assistant include organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments, creating social media content, managing office operations, and event planning. Before joining Javelin, Khang earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, with a concentration in Public Relations from George Mason University. During his time at GMU, Khang worked as an intern for MediaDC where he aided their publicists by tracking appearances, pulling and cutting clips, creating and organizing progress reports, working events like CPAC, and developing potential client marketing lists. When he isn’t juggling tasks in the office, Khang spends most of his free time with his two dogs or polishing his skills as a fire performer.
